I have spent the majority of my life asking one question – Why? Why am I the way that I am? Why are you the way that you are? For that matter – Why are the pyramids in Egypt? Lucky for me “Why?” pretty much covers everything and this world is full of answers . . . which tend to lead to more questions . . . so I don’t think I will ever run out of things to explore.
My curiosity has led me to work and travel across many different countries in various settings ranging from managing a bank all the way to First Mate on a sailboat leading snorkel tours. And for the record – I can carve a mean pineapple boat. Though no matter what I have done, I have always loved working with people, helping them create for themselves the best they wanted to be. So it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that even from a young age I knew I wanted to be a counsellor and a coach.
I get to empower people to uncover their own personal “Why?” It could be “Why did I stay in that relationship?” or “Why did I let that person speak to me that way?” Sometimes it’s even broader like “Why aren’t I happy?” or “Why did my life turn out like this?” or “Why did this happen again?” For every person it’s different. I am passionate about providing the space and the tools for people to discover their own personal truths.
In my own continuing journey of discovery I’ve had to face some uncomfortable realities; that there isn’t always an “answer” or sometimes the answer that you get isn’t the one you hoped for. But I’ve always found the process brings a sense of wholeness, and the answers tend to come once you find the right questions to ask.
If you notice that you, like me, have been asking yourself “Why?”, I invite you to call me. I look forward to working just as hard for you, as you are for yourself. And remember – this isn’t a moment in your life . . . this moment is your life. How do you want to be living it?
